Description:
If you are looking for “tall, dark and handsome,” look no further. Scout is a good sized boy at 70 pounds with warm brown eyes and a lush mahogany sable coat, who quickly wins the hearts of everyone he meets.
Before coming to MWCR, Scout had been primarily an outdoor dog who spent his nights sleeping in the garage. His family wanted a better living situation for him and surrendered Scout to us. He quickly adjusted to his foster home and is a happy, playful boy. He is so glad to be back indoors with the family that his foster mom has to practically push him out the door when it is time for him to go potty. He will probably not need a fenced yard depending on the location of his forever home.
Scout gets along with everyone. He loves people and his easy going manner makes him a great playmate for other dogs. He is good with children, though his size and playful nature may make him a bit intimidating to very young ones who could get knocked over. Scout’s former home reports that he is also fine with cats.
Scout is a bright boy who is fully housetrained and completely non destructive indoors (except for his favorite rope toy that gets a thorough work out). He walks well on his leash and is always ready to hop in the car for a road trip. He knows “sit” and “down” and would love to expand his educational horizons by going to obedience class and learning more things. He is not particularly chatty, though he does like to voice his pleasure while playing with his canine foster brothers.
Scout is a cheerful, happy boy with no fears of storms, loud noises or vacuum cleaners. He takes everything in stride
Scout is as easy to love as he is easy on the eyes. He is playful but mellow, and he loves to follow his foster mom around just to be near her and see what she’s up to. If you are looking for a loving, easy going companion who is as handsome on the inside as he is on the outside, Scout is the one.
