Description: As everyone knows, great things come in small packages and at only 37 pounds, Trevor definitely proves the rule. He is the smallest of the Glencoe collies and though he still needs to gain a little weight, he will always be a petite boy. Trevor considers his small size to be an advantage because it makes it easier for him to sit on his foster mom’s lap and soak up the love.

Trevor wasted no time settling into his foster home and stealing the hearts of everyone there. He has also stolen his foster dad’s moccasins on occasion and though he doesn’t chew them, he does get them nice and squishy. He also likes to make off with rugs, blankets, towels, bathrobe ties or whatever is within reach when he is feeling frisky. Let’s face it, Trevor is still a puppy at heart and like all puppies he is busy, busy, busy: which keeps foster mom busy too. His forever home must understand that young boys like Trevor need lots of activity to help channel all that puppy energy.

Trevor is a sweet, affectionate boy who learned the ropes about indoor living in record time and literally housetrained himself. He is also crate trained and when his foster family goes out, Trevor stays in his crate. He also sleeps there.

Trevor loves everyone, but he is especially drawn to children. Whenever he hears a youngster’s voice, he immediately wants to go to the child. He would love to have a forever home that included children who would play with him, but he might be too rough for the very youngest of children who might be frightened or knocked down by his puppy-like antics. He also loves toys of any and all varieties. He likes to toss them around and then pounce on them like a cat. He has a beautiful, prancing gait and a unique habit of walking or climbing over anything that gets in his way (rather than going around it).

Trevor came to MWCR with a skin infection that has been treated and is now receding. The fur is growing back on his legs and in no time at all, he will be looking like the collie heart throb that he is. Though he is too modest to brag about it, Trevor and his brother Reggie are TV stars, who were featured in a local television news show that did a story on the Glencoe collies. (No paw-tographs, please!!!)

Trevor gets along well with other dogs and he would be a great playmate for another young, active dog. However, he would also do well as an only dog if his forever family spent time playing with him and included him in their activities. He would dearly love to have children that would run and play with him and make him part of their lives. Like the other Glencoe collies, Trevor has come a long way (all the way from Oklahoma), but his greatest trip is yet to come: the trip to his new home and the family that will love him forever.
