New to Rescue!
Timber had lived his entire six years with one family, but when they no longer had time for him, he was surrendered to MWCR. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was very subdued and quiet. He wouldn’t look at his foster mom and seemed to be waiting patiently for his family to come back for him. Over time, he came to realize that they wouldn’t be coming back, and he began to acclimate to his new surroundings.
According to his foster mom, he has blended in beautifully with her other dogs, and has shown himself to be one of the sweetest, most well-mannered dogs she has ever encountered. He enjoys being bathed and groomed, and seems to relish the attention he receives while being brushed. Timber has learned that though his new foster home is a good place to be, there is a forever home waiting for him that will be even better.
Timber is a large collie, with a very gentle nature and the perfect collie disposition. His pronounced under bite, gives his face the appearance of a perpetual smile, which is appropriate, because Timber has a perpetual smile in his heart. He is exceptionally loving and easy going, and gets along with the other dogs and even with the cats. Although he isn’t too interested in toys, he likes chew bones and absolutely loves going for walks.
Timber is ready for a forever family who will always have time for him and who will appreciate his sweet disposition and loving ways. He gets along well with everyone, including cats and other dogs, but could also easily live as an only dog. He is the perfect collie companion.
Timber is being fostered in DeForest, WI.
