Bio for Billy "the kid"
This handsome, young collie was found living the "outlaw" life in southwestern Wisconsin. He was covered with burrs and ticks, when a good
Samaritan picked him up and took him to a shelter. From there he was transferred to MWCR where he was groomed, neutered and vetted and is now awaiting his perfect, forever home.
Billy is a rough coated, tri-colored boy, estimated to be about three or four years old. He is full of youthful energy, but can also be extremely mellow and gentle. He is particularly gentle around children, is kind to other dogs and is even tolerant of cats. Billy is fully housebroken and is good on a leash. He does like to bark, but for a young collie that is only natural. His foster mom says that he can be left home unsupervised as long as there is another dog around. If he is left entirely alone, he displays some anxiety, so it would be best to crate him in these circumstances.
Billy has decided to leave the outlaw life behind, settle down and shower love on his forever family. A fenced yard would be ideal but not mandatory. If his new home does not have a fence, Billy should probably be supervised when outdoors to make sure the old "call of the wild" doesn't lure him too far from home.
Billy is being fostered near Madison, Wisconsin
